Grace’s Corner – Journal Entry 3
This week I’ve been hard at work on many different projects. I’m doing some revisions on some print mailers for Generator, as well as creating social media posts for several clients. On top of all the projects I’ve been able to get my hands on, this week I got to watch the eclipse from the office. It was a very exciting way to be able to remember my time here at Generator.
I’ve noticed I have gotten faster with my workflow. I’m learning to better prioritize and manage different tasks throughout the day. One really exciting thing I’ve noticed (aside from how cute Mando is) is how much more familiar I am with some of the Adobe features. I’m also getting faster with all of my hot keys: a great way of cutting time from my daily tasks. Soon I won’t be searching through that pesky toolbar at all!!
Graduation is approaching and I only have two weeks left of my internship. I’m reflecting on my time at St. Clair College and how far I’ve come. Though I’m constantly learning new things about the industry, to see how much I have improved since my first year in school is something I’m very proud of. To have been able to have been taught by industry professionals who have up-to-date information on the industry was very helpful. I have been able to connect with many talented designers that inspired me to improve my own work. The last three years have been a great experience and I’m very excited to join the design industry.
I hope I can work on many more great projects with Generator and continue to improve with them before my internship is over.
