Anna’s Corner – Journal Entry 2

After getting used to the workflow at Generator I’ve noticed my work process improving. I’ve established a routine and noticed more details about design in my daily life. In three weeks, I’ve learned how to work on and juggle multiple projects and enjoy writing blogs (like this one). It’s a fun way to give my perspective, keep a log of what I’ve been up to and creatively present my brand. I’ve always been an organized person with an excellent work ethic. It’s a quality that allows me to stand out from the crowd. As a designer, the work is fast-paced and time management is key.

Sometimes it can be easy to get overwhelmed and I’ve found that I’m not stressed when I have a big to-do list. At first, I was nervous I’d receive a project I couldn’t do; that has proved not to be true. I understand every project and put in the time and work while completing it in a timely manner. I ask the right questions and make sure I’m completing everything on time so revisions can be made. I worked hard to get here and I’ve enjoyed every second of it. I set myself up in the beginning because I’ve wanted to be a designer since I was young.

At the first mention of an internship at school, I spoke with people in my corner who mentored me. I was so excited to start and get a feel for what it’s like in the industry. I couldn’t be happier to be at Generator and be a part the team (Including Mando)!
